1. About this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Perfect Support Services Limited (PSS, we, us, our) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and online tools, why we use them, and how you can control them.
It should be read together with our Privacy Notice at /privacy, which explains more fully how we handle personal information and what rights you have.
We use cookies in accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR, each as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies allow the website to recognise your device, remember your preferences and understand how the site is being used.
We use the word “cookies” in this Policy to cover cookies and a range of similar technologies, including:

Session — deleted when you close your browser; or persistent — remaining on your device for a defined period or until you delete them
3. The categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These are essential for our website to function and for services you have specifically asked for. They do things like route traffic, keep the site secure, protect against fraudulent activity, balance load, enable forms to be submitted and remember the cookie choices you have made.
These cookies do not require your consent and cannot be switched off through our cookie tool. If you block them using your browser, parts of our website will not work.
The law also now exempts certain low-risk statistical and audience-measurement cookies used to improve our service, and certain cookies that adapt the appearance or function of the site to your preferences, from the consent requirement, provided clear information and a free means of objecting are given. As a matter of policy we go further than the law requires: apart from strictly necessary cookies, we set nothing without your consent.

4. The specific cookies operating on our website
The technologies operating on a website change as the site and its tools change. Rather than publish a list here that would quickly go out of date, the definitive, current list of cookies and similar technologies on our website — including each one’s name, provider, purpose, type and duration — is maintained in our cookie preference tool.

The categories of provider we typically work with include website and content hosting, web analytics and measurement, customer relationship management and marketing automation, advertising and audience platforms, video and media embedding, online booking and scheduling, forms and assessment tools, live chat, and security and anti-fraud services.
5. How we ask for your consent
When you first visit our website you will see a cookie banner. You can:
Accept all — allowing all categories described in section 3;
Reject all — in which case only strictly necessary cookies are used; or
Manage preferences — allowing you to switch individual categories on or off.
Non-essential cookies are not set before you make a choice, other than those strictly necessary for the site and the consent mechanism itself to work.
Your consent is not permanent. You can change or withdraw it at any time using the cookie preferences control on our website. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it, and it may take a short time for changes to take effect across your session.
We will ask you to confirm your choices again every 6 months, and whenever we make a material change to the technologies we use.
6. Other ways to control cookies
Browser settings. Most browsers let you see what cookies are stored, delete them individually or entirely, and block cookies from some or all sites. The relevant instructions are in your browser’s help section. Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, will stop parts of our website working properly.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Where your browser sends a recognised opt-out preference signal, we will treat it as an objection to non-essential cookies where our consent tool supports it.
Device settings. Mobile and tablet operating systems provide controls over advertising identifiers, including options to limit ad tracking or reset the identifier.
Provider-level opt-outs. Some third-party providers offer their own opt-outs. For example, Google provides a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across all websites, and major advertising platforms provide ad preference controls within your account settings. Industry opt-out tools are also available through the Network Advertising Initiative and Your Online Choices.
Email tracking. When we send you a marketing email we may include a small image or tracked links that tell us whether the message was opened and which links were clicked, so that we can improve what we send. Where your consent is required for this, we ask for it at the point you sign up to our emails, and you can withdraw it at any time using our preference centre or by contacting us. You can also prevent email tracking by setting your email client to block remote images, and you can unsubscribe from our marketing emails using the link in any message.
7. Third-party cookies
Some cookies on our website are set by third parties whose services we use, and we do not control what those organisations do with the information they collect. Third parties may combine information gathered on our site with information collected elsewhere.
Where a third-party technology is not strictly necessary, we only allow it to operate after you have consented. We assess third-party technologies before adding them, and we require providers acting on our behalf to do so under a contract that meets the requirements of Article 28 of the UK GDPR. Some advertising and social media providers act as independent or joint controllers in relation to their own use of the information; their own notices apply to that use, and we encourage you to read them.
Our website may also embed content from other sites, such as videos, maps, booking tools or social feeds. Interacting with embedded content can be equivalent to visiting the third party’s own site, and their cookies and privacy notices will apply.
8. What information cookies collect, and how we use it
Depending on the category, cookies and similar technologies may collect:
your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
device, browser, operating system, screen and language information;
pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, scrolling, time on page and navigation paths;
the site or advertisement that referred you;
form and tool interactions, including with our eligibility checker;
whether you opened or clicked one of our emails; and
unique identifiers that allow your device or browser to be recognised on return visits or across services.
Where this information identifies you, directly or indirectly, it is personal information and our Privacy Notice applies to it, including the sections on lawful bases, sharing, international transfers, retention and your rights.
Our lawful basis for strictly necessary technologies is our legitimate interests in operating a secure, functioning website. For all other technologies it is your consent, given through our cookie tool, both for placing and reading the information under PECR and for the subsequent processing under the UK GDPR.
9. How long cookies last
Cookie lifespans vary from the length of a single browsing session to a period of months. The duration of each cookie is listed in our cookie preference tool.
We keep website analytics data for 14 months from collection, unless a shorter period is configured with the provider, and we keep records of your cookie choices for 6 months, after which we ask you again. Information generated by advertising technologies is kept in line with the retention settings configured with each provider, and we review those settings periodically.
10. Children
Our website is aimed at businesses and business professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly use cookies to build profiles of children.
11. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, our practices, or the law. The date at the top of this Policy shows when it was last updated. Where changes are material, we will bring them to your attention, and where required we will ask for your consent again.
